"We despise all reverences and all objects of reverence which are outside the pale of our list of sacred things...

Questions I would like answered:
Who are Lloyd, Cath, Elizabeth, and Sandra?

Is it really scoliosis or just a temporary issue?

Will I ever get tired of my mom’s green chili tamales?

Things I would like to accomplish in the future (even if some of them are scary):
-Ride in a hot air balloon.
-Live by myself in a foreign country.
-Successfully cook a soufflé.
-Teach someone to read.
-Learn to sail (I’m sort of scared of boats and water).
-Own/ build a legit tree house.

Last time I posted lists on blogger, I feel without meaning to, I semi-accomplished quite a few of my goals (at least to some degree). I guess it’s all about making positive goals for myself, but ultimately being okay with whatever happens. After all, I’m not really the one in control. The older I get and although it’s tough at times, the more grateful I become for this fact. I am so grateful for the knowledge I have and the blessings I receive on a daily basis.

Also, this song has been getting stuck in my head lately, but I don't mind one bit.

P.S. Here is a list of some other lists I found to be of interest:
-The Best 60 Books of the past 60 years: UK Times Online
Twilight? They do realize they said “best” right?
-12 ways to travel the world for free
-10 interesting abandoned places
-list of fictional ducks

I'd like to think Cath is like Brittany Spears or something, but probably not. This blog is rather amazing. These lists are amazing. I especially like "how to travel the world for free"

Vickie:
Yes, I have read Twilight (the first book and then first quarter of the second). I guess I can't really knock the series unless I've read all of them, which I haven't. So if speaking of the first book alone I disliked it not for Meyer's lack of ability to entertain the reader (as I definitely found the book to be entertaining), but more because I did no enjoy her characters or writing style.

When people have only read the first HP and then quit I don't really accept the validity of their argument when they say the series is dumb. So, I guess I count my own opinion about the series as a whole out; however, I do stand by my opinion of the author according to what I have read thus far (or will ever read. I don't plan on picking up another of her books any time soon.).

I guess this just goes to show how true this quote from Mark Twain really is:
"We despise all reverences and all objects of reverence which are outside the pale of our list of sacred things. And yet, with strange inconsistency, we are shocked when other people despise and defile the things which are holy to us."

So sorry if my dislike of Twilight offends you and sorry my reply is this long!

Haha it doesn't offend me!. It would only have been offensive had you not read the book I was just wondering cus some people rag on Twilight even though they haven't read it. I personally really like Twilight. I think that for the audience that she was writing for she did a good job (it's a good teen romance). But I agree with you that I wouldn't pick up any of her other books. Also what is that list based on? best seller's lists or just someone's oppinion or like a poll?
